JASON BERENT, the founder and managing partner of the Berent Law Firm, is an aggressive litigator who takes great pride in his relentless pursuit of justice on behalf of his clients. Experience That Matters:  Mr. Berent is experienced handling claims in state and federal courts in Texas and throughout the United States.  Mr. Berent is known for working with clients and experts to develop and implement comprehensive strategies to secure superior results in the most complicated claims against the largest of adversaries.  Mr. Berent is well versed in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motions, court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, jury trials and appellate matters.  Mr. Berent also has unique and extensive experience securing Temporary Restraining Orders and other emergency relief.   

Consumer Litigation:  Mr. Berent routinely represents consumers in a wide range of litigation matters, including residential construction defect claims, real estate disputes involving builders, insurance and warranty companies, realtors, brokers, Home Owner Associations, litigation against utility companies, litigation against financial institutions for wrongful foreclosures and identity theft issues, defamation claims, disputes involving the "lemon law" and the deceptive sale of automobile, claims for medical malpractice and legal malpractice and severe personal injury matters. 

Business Litigation:  Mr. Berent also handles complex business matters, including partnership disputes, fraud and breach of fiduciary duty matters, breach of contract and tortious interference with contract and business relations, business disparagement, intellectual property disputes, securities claims, commercial construction defect claims, commercial real estate disputes, Tenant-in-Common ("TIC") workouts, oil and gas matters and a variety of other sophisticated business and commercial claims.   

General Business Matters:  Mr. Berent serves as general counsel to a select number of businesses and handles virtually all of his business clients' legal needs. This includes, among other things, the preparation, review, negotiation and enforcement of business and commercial real estate contracts, enforcement of confidentiality and non-compete provisions, development and implementation of risk management strategies and the handling of all modes of dispute resolution. 

Mr. Berent received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and his law degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
